GUIDED VISIT OF THE AGEING-CELLARS

ASSISTED BY AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS

Since 1882, five generations of fathers and sons have been maturing all their wines from Beaujolais in century-old oaken large casks.
A visit would help you to understand this small-scale and ancestral method, this knowledge, which has become rare nowadays, and which brings an undeniable qualitative element of authenticity to wine.

You will discover, whatever the time of the year, and thanks to a video, that the work of a wine-grower and the cycle of the vine plant, from the pruning to wine -harvest and wine-making.

You will attend every stage of the bottling and packaging.

A tasting of Beaujolais and Mâconnais wines will end this invitation to the universe of Bacchus' nectar

This guided tour is available in French, English or German.
It lasts 45 minutes. ( 90 minutes with the tasting)
Visits at 10.00.a.m. , 2.00 and 4.00.p.m. from Monday to Saturday.

BELLEVILLE - L'HÔTEL-DIEU

A listed building

Founded in 1733, this hospital has remained the same ever since it was opened.
It is unique in this area. A wonderfully rich heritage property in Belleville, definitely worth visiting.

The three wards with their beds made of walnut, the two chapels, the apothicary full of earthenware jars and the meeting room with its archives all bear witness to hospital life in the eighteenth century.

Come and discover the different landscapes, the ‘golden stones’ region where whole villages are built of stone the colour of gold, follow the wine trail, visit the lakes and forests. The Compagnonage Museum of Romanèche Thorins


A man called Pierre GUILLON founded a school where carpentry, the art of building staircases and rooves as well as that of working with stone were taught.
Students came to this school from throughout the world. This museum presents a collection of the works of the former students known as ‘compagnons’, hence the name of the museum
